Ukrainian Labour Temple

591 Pritchard Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba

The Ukrainian Labour Temple is a National Historic Site of Canada, constructed from 1918-19 as a hall and cultural centre for the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians. The building is the national flag ship of the AUUC.

GW Architecture Inc. has been commissioned to conduct a building condition assessment and code analysis. Our team has prepared a feasibility study from this information reflecting how the AUUC can maintain the historic structure while addressing current code concerns, including accessibility.

GW Architecture Inc. has successfully complete the the analysis and feasibility study with recommendations. Our team complete the restoration of the exterior brick and damaged steps in 2015. The project team is currently exploring the proposed design options for the remaining recommendations to ensure the facility elements, spaces and systems remain a functional, vital centre of the Ukrainian Community.
