Jordan's Principle Program

Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation, Manitoba

Jordan's Principle is a child first initiative program spreading across Canada. The program space offers a variety of therapy services for First Nation children that were previously only offered in urban centers.

GW Architecture Inc believes in the full implementation of these programs in First Nation communities across the country and is honoured to be participating in the design of their spaces.

The Jordan's Principle Program space in Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation is our first project for this initiative. GW Architecture Inc. worked with the Health Director and Program Coordinators to design an addition to the existing Ginew Wellness Centre. The space accommodates behavioural therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy and multi-purpose space for cooking lessons and group activities. The treatment spaces are complete with observation rooms and anchor points for sensory swings.

The project was complete in the spring of 2018. Read about its historic grand opening here
