Sioux Valley Health Centre

Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation, Manitoba

The project in Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation included a full interior renovation of the Health Centre. The space was not meeting the needs of the community in its current layout. GW Architecture Inc was hired to design a layout meeting the community requirements.  

 

Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation addresses community healing needs with wellness programs, home and community care, prevention education, medical professionals, dental services and counseling services. Providing a space where these programs compliment each other was the intent behind our programming and design exercises. 

 

The success of this project was a result of community consultation and frequent communication with the Health Director and staff. The result was a fresh interior with refined functionality for the users and clients.
